Why did we introduced the new Freemius version and moving away from Envato(CodeCanoyn)?
To be transparent, since Collis Ta'eed’s retirement as Envato CEO and the subsequent acquisition by Shutterstock, Envato’s marketplace hasn’t received the same level of focus or support it once did. Their primary attention has shifted toward the Elements subscription model, and many authors — myself included — believe the traditional Envato marketplaces may eventually be phased out. In the meantime, the API has been left largely unmaintained, causing growing issues in recent months — in some cases even blocking users from accessing it on newer servers. This decline became even more evident with Envato’s recent decision to close their public forums.
Our priority is making sure you have a stable, secure, and reliable experience with NEX-Forms. Unfortunately, Envato’s API has caused too many issues — from random license deactivations to failed activations and backend slowdowns — and we can no longer guarantee the level of reliability you deserve if we continue through their system.
Moving forward, this change ensures that your investment is protected, your forms remain fast and secure, and you can continue to depend on NEX-Forms without the uncertainty caused by Envato’s platform.

How do I upgrade to a pricing plan?
- 1. Choose a suitable plan above and click on the correspodent upgrade button.
- 2. After receiving your license code in your email go to your NEX-Forms -> Settings page
- 3. Paste the license code into the "Activate License" box and click on Activate.
Will I loose any of my exsiting forms or data?
Absolutely not. All your Forms, Form submissions, settings and data will remian in tack. Rest assusred you will not have to redo anything.
How long will it take to upgrade?
5 minutes maximum. We have made it as smooth and pain free as possible for you to seamlessly switch from an Envato License to our Freemius plan.
Do I need to Re-download or Re-install the plugin?
No, as long as you have updated to version 9.0 or above you dont have to do anything. If you are still on an earlier version then you simply need to update NEX-Forms from your plugins page and then you are ready to go.
What will change after upgrading?
- You will instantly have access premium support.
- You will instantly have access to a customer portal for license management.
- Your system will instantly become faster and more stable
- You will have access to premium updates.
- You will have access to up and coming premium add-ons, like for example stripe.
Will I loose any of the functionality I have now?
Not at all. Rest assured, you will still have all the same functionality as you do now only with a better and faster system as well as ongoing support.
Can I have a development site?
Yes. You can set up any number of local sites and a staging site with a specific subdomain. The options include staging.yoursite.com, dev.yoursite.com, test.yoursite.com, or localhost/.
Will I get access to future add-ons?
Yes, when you purchase a plan, you get access to everything that is currently listed on the pricing page. As new add-ons are released, you will be able to add them at no charge while your license and support are current.
Can I upgrade my license later?
Yes. You can upgrade your license at any time from your licenses account page.
How long will I have access to support and updates?
While you have an active license you will have all the pirks that go with it -> Premium Support, Premium Updates, Premium Add-on Access, License Management
